The Ukrainian Register of Toxicologists was established in response to the need for international harmonization and mutual recognition of qualifications in toxicology as set out by EuroTox in its charter for a European Registered Toxicologist.

The National Register was founded in 2018 and is co-organized by the Ukrainian Toxicology Association (U-Tox). It is part of the European Register of Toxicologists.

Applications to the Ukrainian Register of Toxicologists are open to experienced scientists engaged in the field of toxicology. ERT are required to have an acceptable education leading to an appropriate qualification together with an additional training to achieve the necessary competence to practice in their profession.

Inclusion in the Ukrainian Register of Toxicologists applies for a period of 5 years after which reregistration is required.
